About me
“Biting The Big Apple” has been published by Hachette to commercial and critical acclaim in November 2008. The book follows my acting exploits and personal misadventures, from my early debut in Australia to the New York stage.
I was born in New Zealand to the parents of author Rosie Scott and filmmaker Danny Vendramini. At ten I moved to Australia where I performed with La Byte theatre troupe and at fourteen I played Juliet at La Boite Theatre, Brisbane.
I have performed in various films, including the title role in the Australian Independent feature film “Playing with Piranhas”, as well as winning best actress at a TAP gallery gala for short film “The Philanderers“. My short films “A Wonderful Day“, “Invitation“, “The Last Round” and “River Queen” have been shown at Berlin, Sydney, Paris, Toronto and New York film festivals.
In theatre, I have performed in “Iolanthne” at The Sydney Opera House, “The Taming of The Shrew” with Shakespeare By The Park and most recently in New York; “Terrorism” at The Marilyn Monroe Theatre, “Blood“, “Euphoric Tendencies” and a Commedia Dell’arte production of “The Servant of Two Masters” with Blackmoon Theatre.
I studied at The Actor’s Centre, Sydney, as well as various studies at The National Institute of Dramatic Art in Australia. I recently graduated from two years at The Lee Strasberg Institute of Theatre and Film in New York
A TV pilot based on my memoir, and misadventures, is currently in negotiation with Essential Viewing Australia.
