Bella Vendramini has a lust for life, so much so that she decided to chronicle her adventures on and off stage in a book, her memoir of a three-year stint in New York.

An actress by trade, she scraped together enough money for a one-way ticket to the Big Apple, applying on impulse for the prestigious Strasberg Institute. This is the story of how Bella took on New York - falling in love with her own "Mr Big"- her brilliant love affair that turned sour - making friends (including Quentin Tarantino, who said about Bella and her book: "Bella is the belle of the ball"), and getting to grips with the vagaries of life in that glittering town.

What life in New York City would offer her she could never have predicted... sometimes scary, mostly cash-strapped but always exhilarating. She proves that with a little determination and a lot of Down Under pizzazz even the toughest dreams can blossom. Bella shows us how to embrace the rollercoaster of life.
